I bought a used 2001 GMC Yukon LX last year from a Buy Here Pay Here place. I loved the way it looked. Within 3 days, my four wheel drive went out. We still have not figured out what has happened with it. The vehicle has 220,000 plus miles on it. It still runs extremely well and drives better than a car. I do love this vehicle. It has no rust whatsoever on it. I am sure it would drive like a tank if the four wheel drive was fixed. It has plenty of room and a place to put a third row seat, although I do not have one. It drives smooth and purrs like a kitten. I would advise anyone who is planning on buying a used one to really check them out. Story
I was told I couldn't move a whole lot in my vehicle, so I loaded it down and got an entire room out of our old house loaded in to my vehicle in one load to prove them wrong. It wasn't so much fun, but it was rather memorable. They couldn't believe I got that much in my vehicle. :)
Pros
It drives smoother than most cars. Gas mileage is pretty awesome too for such a decent sized vehicle. Plenty of room inside for groceries, etc. Seats fold down for even more storage room. Heated seats that you can position in practically any way you want.
Cons
The four wheel drive went out. Sunroof leaks, because it does not close properly.

The GMC Yukon is a large and powerful SUV. It is all wheel drive with a push button setting for low range if needed and offers excellent traction in poor road and driving conditions. The interior is spacious offering plenty of leg room for both front and rear seated passengers. Standard equipment includes front and side air bags and an OnStar system that alerts emergency personnel in the event that the air bags are deployed. The entertainment system includes a six disc CD changer and rear DVD player with infrared wireless headphones. Power windows and door locks are also standard equipment. The leather seats resist staining and messes and are easy to clean and maintain, The heated front seats make winter driving much more comfortable while the removable third row seats offer additional... Could easily and safely pass smaller trucks in poor or snowy road conditions. Was never worried about getting stuck when on bad roads in the mountains.
Pros
Excellent traction on poor roads or in bad weather. The vehicle provides safety due to its size and weight. Powerful engine. Lots of leg room and interior space.
Cons
Very poor gas mileage. High cost of ownership.
