2007 Honda Odyssey - The Honda Odyssey is a great, safe family van.

I like the fact the Odyssey has side curtain airbags. It also has plenty of seats and if you have all of them filled you still have plenty of room for each person. There are separate controls for each persons heat/air comforts so no more one kid being hot and the other cold, they can control that themselves. There is plenty of storage for emergency supplies so they aren't in the way at any time. The seats are heated leather, I have back issues and drive a lot so the heat eases my back pain and makes it bearable to drive for hours like I need to. The doors are electronic and I'm not crazy about that feature. Where it is getting a little age on it they get stuck and have to be reset every once and awhile. The interior is light grey and is hard to keep stain-free with children. I don't li... (more)
Story
There was a torrential downpour with thunder and lightening on night we were afraid to get out of the van and go in it was so bad so we stayed in the van for hours waiting on it to stop the kids got to get out of their seats and they played like it was a boat and we were caught at sea in a storm. They had a blast and we even got in on the fun, daddy was captain, mommy was first mate and they w... (more)
Pros
The pros about the Odyssey are the dvd player, the cd changer, fold up seats, and that are enough places to charge all the kids' devices. The heated seats are a godsend also.
Cons
The VSA system and the electronic doors are the worst features. It doesn't take much to open a door so why had something else that could tear up and have to be fixed for more money. The VSA system really isn't even needed, vehicles had been doing great without them all those years.

I acquired my van second hand but it still rides like brand new, and its an 02. Its the deluxe one with the heated leather seats, they make me feel all fancy, and the power side doors on both sides, which is extremely helpful in this day of decreasing parking. I am impressed with the inclusion of multiple environment comfort zones. Do you know how awesome it is to be able to give my passengers air with out freezing myself? The only things that I would change would be to add in the stereotypical dvd player and hd screens in the head rests because I do have a daughter and they are a God send for those long difficult days. Overall I am thoroughly satisfied with my van. I fully intend on purchasing another one when I need to pick up my next vehicle.
Story
One morning my girlfriend and I woke up and looked outside and saw that it had begun to snow pretty heavily. We both decided to hop in the van and make a quick trip to the convenience store to pick up some supplies before the roads got too bad. We had not gotten a mile down the road before the roads were completely covered. Now would be a good time for me to mention that I live in a rural are... (more)
Pros
I enjoy that my air condition still works and has not needed any maintenance other than routine upkeep such as tires and oil changes. The heated seats are a pleasant treat for cold winter mornings.
Cons
The only thing I can say negative would be that the gas mileage is not the greatest in the world, but considering how big the thing is I would not really consider it a con.

We were in need of a new minivan since our old one was starting to show its age. We went searching for a replacement and came upon the Honda Odyssey. The test drive went really well because of how smooth the ride was on this minivan. Both my wife and I were really impressed with how the car drove and wanted to buy it. Since owning it, it continues to show how smooth and comfortable it is every day. The car came with most of the normal features, sunroof, heated seats, leather which was good overall for what we were looking for in a new car. The car has also been reliable so far, which Honda is known for. I do wish Honda offered a TV in these vans without stepping up into the top end of the model line. The kids missed having this features, so we went out and purchased ones that live on t... (more)
Story
Driving on a short road trip and experiencing how smooth the van was throughout the entire time. It made the trip even more fun and enjoyable.
Pros
This van offers a good amount of features for the price we wanted to pay compared to other vehicles. You will pay a little more then some just because it is a Honda, and they hold their value more, which will be good at trade in time. The ride is really were this van shines. It does not feel like your driving a van but a nice car. Definitely can't say enough how smooth and comfortable this van really is.
Cons
Some common features like rear seat entertainment requires you to buy the most expensive model to get them. I wish Honda gave more for the money when it comes to features in the lower trims.
