My Tacoma is my most prized possession. I would not be able to travel across the entirety of New England without my truck guiding me. Literally and figuratively! This truck has enabled me to travel to mountains for camping, ski slopes for snowboarding, and the oceans for surfing! I have never had a problem with my truck, and I have never felt any worry in the frigid cold or the hottest of hot days. My Tacoma, given that it is a Toyota, will outlast me and my children! I hope to never have to buy another vehicle again, and I have yet to feel any such urge to get another. If I do, I would simply get another 2016 Tacoma!
Story
One occasion I have needed a longer bed was to go surfing. We had to rent two surfboards about eight-feet long, and they hung out of the back of my truck with the tailgate up. Those boards were tied down, and we were like ten miles away from the beach so I drove like 20 miles an hour to make sure they wouldn't go flying! I have never white knuckled so hard on a busy road!
Pros
The short bed trunk is about 5.5ft long which is perfect for my snowboard, gear duffle, and girlfriend's skis. It's deep enough for any sort of general purpose needs and long enough for the average person to haul away junk, get a full-size mattress, or just getting to go camping! My favorite part of my truck is definitely the handling of the vehicle in rougher terrain such as gravel or snow. The ability to switch between 2WD and 4WD has been more useful than I thought. I also love the back-up camera!
Cons
I would say that I do spend a lot of money filling my truck up. Going up a hill or needing to accelerate on an incline takes a bit more juice than I'd like to admit. Occasionally, I do have a need for a longer truck bed, but I couldn't say that I would pay extra for it at the moment. I suspect that later on in life, I will need the extra length.

2016 Toyota Tacoma - The Tacoma is a great truck with plenty of room and decent gas mileage.

Our Toyota Tacoma is an extended cab pickup with four doors that seats at least five. The interior is leather and easy to clean and stands up to anything my kids do to it. It's a great family vehicle that is comfortable for things like long trips, but also works great for running errands and for hauling things, too. It has a number of nice features, such as heated seats and GPS. And for a truck, the gas mileage is acceptable with a driver who is mindful of driving in an economical fashion.
Story
We drive this vehicle up and down a dirt road on a regular basis - every day. It has withstood at least one deer collision with only minor damage to the bumper.
Pros
I love the heated seats. It comes with built-in GPS. It also has running boards/step to make it easier to climb into and a handle on the passengers' side to assist entry. It has back-up assist with a camera and an audible alert if there are things in the way. The sideview mirrors have lighted blind spot indicators. The bed has a removable cover, and it has knobs and hooks for tie-down straps. The overhead light in the rear of the cab is recessed, which helps when the kids need to turn it on at night - the driver can still see out of the rearview mirror. Cons
The premium floor board mats were "recalled" and replaced with some that are inferior. The transmission seems to do strange things while the a/c is cycling though that has gotten better with age. The bed is a little too short and narrow occasionally for hauling lumber or furniture.
